Ice cream parlour

We have been having a lovely time buying ice creams in our ice cream parlour. We are learning all about coins and paying for things. It would be great if the children can investigate coins at home too.

Celebration for the royal wedding

What an amazing day we have had! The children have worked so hard at making their own sandwiches. They have carefully spread the margarine, jam and lemon curd and then folded them in half and cut them. They really concentrated on their knife skills. We then filled our plates with all the tasty treats for our afternoon tea. The children then decided how to set up outside and we enjoyed our plates of yummy food together. Thank you FROGS and parents for making this possible.

Class of the week

Well done to Reception for being class of the week. We were chosen for being so welcoming whenever anyone comes to our classroom.

Reception Cake Sale

Next Thursday it is reception classes turn to make / bring in cakes to sell after school to raise funds for Frogs. All donations will be greatly received. I do believe the target to beat is approximately £131. Year 1 have set a high goal.

Junk modelling request

Dear parents, the children are really keen to build homes for dinosaurs to go in but we are short of junk modelling. Please could we have any boxes, yoghurt pots and kitchen towel rolls. Thank you for your help.

Walk the Wight

Tell me about your medals.

“We got these cos we did walk the Wight”.

“We did it yesterday. We had to run and get to the finish line whenever you can.”

“We did 2 miles but I did 6 miles because I walked round in a lot of circles. I was really tired then.”

Puppet Theatre

The children are having great fun exploring the Puppet Theatre and retelling Goldilocks and the three bears.

Mrs Oulds and her Melodion

We were very lucky today as Mrs Oulds has brought in her melodion to show the children. The children were fascinated and asked lots of questions and really enjoyed the music.

Welcome back everyone

The children have settled in brilliantly and have got stuck in to their learning. We have been reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears and the children are really enjoying acting the story out together.

Fantastic Easter Bonnets

Well done to everyone who made an Easter bonnet for our competition. They were all fabulous!
